Export your canvas as PNG
Sometimes the canvas needs to leave the canvas: a PNG export turns exactly what you see into a high-resolution image.

How to export
- Frame your shot
The export captures the current view — pan and zoom until the screen shows what you want. Shift+1 (Fit all) is a great starting point for a whole-canvas portrait.
- Click the image icon
In the top bar (on iPhone/iPad: ⋮ menu → “Save view as PNG”).
- Done
You get a PNG at 2× resolution — twice the pixels of your screen, so recipients can zoom in and the text stays sharp. The filename includes the folder’s name and a timestamp.
Where it shines
- Sharing state: drop a moodboard or plan into a chat or email — no account needed on the other side, because it’s just an image.
- Slides: canvases make honest, organic-looking slides — export at a 16:9-ish window and paste into your deck.
- Archiving milestones: a dated PNG per project phase is a wonderful visual diary.
What it isn’t
A PNG is pixels — not a backup (that’s Export backup) and not editable data (that’s your folder). Think of it as photography for canvases.
For a big physical pinboard print, zoom so the area fills your window on a large monitor — the 2× export carries enough resolution for A3 and beyond.
